The Department of Law, Politics and International Studies organizes, in collaboration with the Albany Law School in Albany, New York, the third edition of the Summer School entitled "Towards the 2030 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: A Focus on Climate, Food and Equality".
The Summer School will be held at the University of Parma, from May 26 to June 20, 2025, with the aim of analysing, through an interdisciplinary and integrated perspective, the commitments made by States to achieve the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. The lectures, which will be held in English, will be given by several different lecturers belonging to the two organizing universities. Starting from the topics discussed in the classroom, students will also be involved in the implementation of laboratory activities related to the simulation of international negotiations.
Lectures will be held at the Department of Law, Politics and International Studies.
The Summer School programme includes a visit to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and the Davines company.
Participation is open to students of the Master’s Degree in Law, the Master’s Degree in Global Food Law and the Bachelor Degree in Political Science to both students of the Albany Law School.
The students of the Department who will participate fully in the Summer School will be issued a certificate of participation and will be recognized, after passing a final test, n. 4 credits. Registration is free.

Registration is open to a maximum of 15 participants. If the maximum number of applicants is exceeded, participants will be selected on the basis of an evaluation of their curriculum vitae. Good knowledge of English is recommended.
The Summer School "Towards the 2030 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: A Focus on Climate, Food and Equality" is part of the activities planned by the Department for Excellence (2023-2027).
