The seminar series “Food law: a constantly developing crosscutting subject”, organized within the Master’s Degree program Global Food Law: Sustainability Challenges and Innovation and open to all interested participants, continues with three unmissable events.
On Friday, November 14, at 2:00 PM, in Room IV, Prof. Cinzia Piciocchi from the University of Trento will hold a seminar entitled “Cultural Conflicts on the Plate: Food, Identity, and the Law”, addressing the topic of food as an element of identity and a source of cultural conflicts that inevitably find reflection in the law.
On Thursday, November 20, at 3:30 PM, in Room A, Prof. Paolo Borghi from the University of Ferrara, in the seminar “Botanicals and food supplements: grey areas of food law”, will explore the challenges faced by seemingly simple products, such as plants and herbal extracts, in the food sector due to incomplete and fragmented regulations.
Finally, on Friday, November 21, at 10:00 AM, we will move to the other side of the globe, specifically to the island of Java in Indonesia. Joining us online will be Prof. Ika Riswanti Putranti from Universitas Diponegoro (Semarang), who, in the seminar “ASEAN between food safety and food security”, will explain the policies of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations regarding food security, in its dual meaning of food safety (hygienic and sanitary safety) and food security (ensuring sufficient and adequate nutrition).
