International students' guide 2026
The Department of Law, Politics and International Studies, in collaboration with the Master’s Degree Programme in Global Food Law: Sustainability Challenges and Innovation and the Department’s International Student Tutor, has developed a short guide specifically designed for international students arriving in Italy and joining our Department for the first time.
The guide was created with the aim of supporting students during the first months of their stay, serving as a practical orientation tool to help them navigate the main administrative and bureaucratic procedures that characterize the beginning of university life in Italy. It is conceived as a handy step-by-step guide, helping students identify the relevant offices, plan the activities they need to complete, and build their own timeline for the first weeks of their experience.
This initiative is the result of a collaboration with the Department’s International Student Tutor, Amir Hossein Bashiri, a student enrolled in the Master’s Degree Programme in Global Food Law: Sustainability Challenges and Innovation. Drawing on his direct experience, the guide highlights the key steps international students are required to undertake upon arrival, providing practical information and directing them to the appropriate offices and services. In addition, the document includes useful tips for everyday life in Parma, with the goal of facilitating a smoother and faster integration into both the university community and the city.
