Parma, June 14, 2024 - Society Changing, Stereotypes Remain: Gender Equality in 21st Century Italyis the topic chosen by Giulia Selmi (lecturer in the Department of Law, Political and International Studies) for the next afternoon with the Aperitifs of Knowledge of the University of Parma.
The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 19 at 5:30 p.m. at the ParmaUniverCity Info Point, the University's information and welcome point in the Roman Bridge underpass.
According to recent ISTAT data (2023), opinions and attitudes toward the roles and patterns of men and women are changing, but society is still not totally equal and free. The meeting will be a journey through the data to reflect on the changes taking place and the sociocultural forces hindering them.
The Aperitifs of Knowledge are organized by the University of Parma with the collaboration of the City of Parma (Department of Participation, Associations, Neighborhoods) and with the participation of the Friends of the San Leonardo Library Association, Gruppo Scuola Social Cooperative, On/Off APS, "Io sono Pablo" and TurboLenta APS.
Meetings continue through the end of June: on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. at the ParmaUniverCity Info Point and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. in neighborhoods. They are open to all interested persons and are free admission while places last.
The seminars will all be recorded and then posted on the University of Parma's YouTube channel, in a dedicated playlist.
