Parma, 26 June 2026 – The new Welcome Point of the University of Parma will officially open on July 1 at Piazzale San Francesco 3. It is designed as a reception and support center for prospective students as well as current students, offering multiple service desks providing information and assistance for both Italian and international users.
The new Welcome Point has been created with the aim of bringing together several offices and services in a single physical location, offering an easily accessible reference point for those approaching the University. In particular, the service is intended for prospective students, providing information and assistance with enrollment procedures, as well as guidance toward University and local services, including non-academic ones (such as accommodation search). Already enrolled students will also be able to access all support services offered at the Welcome Point; however, for the management of their academic records, they will continue to refer to the relevant Student Offices.
At the reception point, it will be possible to request general information on enrollment, receive assistance on the status of related procedures, and—particularly for international prospective students or those holding foreign qualifications—submit the documentation required to complete enrollment (such as foreign diplomas and residence permits). All activities related to academic career management after enrollment will continue to be handled by the relevant Student Offices.
Numerous service desks will be available at the Welcome Point, each dedicated to a specific topic and type of user. Details are provided below:
- Prospective student information desk: for general inquiries about services and enrollment procedures.
- Admission Office and Italian Revenue Agency (Agenzia delle Entrate): an integrated support pathway for international users, assisting with procedures related to immigration, residence permits, tax codes, and administrative requirements for entry and stay in Italy.
- Welcome Service: reception and orientation service aimed particularly at international and/or mobile students. It supports integration into university and city life, providing information on accommodation, healthcare, banking services, transport, and other useful services for living in Parma.
- Fees and Right to Study (online mode): for information on tuition fees and financial support/benefits.
- Enrollment service: “Student Office” desks, organized by field of study, supporting administrative enrollment procedures, entry tests, and evaluation of foreign qualifications.
- Student mobility desks: two desks dedicated to incoming and outgoing student mobility, offering support at all stages of mobility experiences to and from the University of Parma.
