The Conference will take place on 15 October 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and will bring together academics, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to discuss the role of law, public policy, and diplomacy in supporting the transition towards more sustainable food systems.
The event will be held in a hybrid format, allowing participation both in person and remotely. Presentations may be followed online upon registration through the link provided in the attached flyer.
The Conference will also mark the launch of the activities of the International Joint Research Group on Agrifood Law and Food Systems (IJRG ALFS), an international network involving European universities and academic institutions engaged in research on agrifood law, food systems governance, and sustainability.
The University of Parma, through its Department of Law, Politics and International Studies, is among the institutions participating in this initiative. In particular, Prof. Giulia Formici and Prof. Valeria Paganizza, members of the Food for Future project, will take part in the Conference with two scientific presentations and will represent the Department within the newly established international research group.
