To provide a better understanding of the educational offerings of the various Master’s programmes available within our Department, the morning session (9:00–11:00, Room III) will be dedicated to presenting the curricula of the following degrees: Global Food Law: Sustainability Challenges and Innovation, Programmazione e Gestione dei Servizi Sociali, and Global Politics and International Relations.
At the end of the session, after collecting questions from interested students, further information regarding the afternoon activities will be provided.
Starting from 3:00 p.m., workshops will be held on topics related to each programme, preferably through interactive activities enabling students' participation, such as labs or debates.
To ensure broader participation—including students coming from other Departments—the three different activities (one for each Master’s Degree programme) will take place at different times. Each session will last one hour.
Both general and subject-specific tutors will also take part.
Programmazione e gestione dei servizi sociali
(Room II, 3:00–4:00 p.m.)
Vulnerability and care in working with people: social work stems from encounters with the vulnerabilities that affect the lives of individuals, families, and communities. Care means accompanying, supporting, and valuing each person’s resources, promoting rights, dignity, and the possibility of change. Together—and with the direct involvement of students—we will reflect on these dimensions.
Lecturers: Francesca Maci and Elena Bucoliero.
Global Food Law: Sustainability Challenges and Innovation
(Room IV, 4:30–5:30 p.m.)
Professors Paganizza and Bresciani will lead an activity titled “Food Label Lab. The Law and Creativity Challenge.”
During the workshop, participants will be guided in creating a label for a pre-packaged food product and in navigating the complex regulations governing food information for consumers.
Since this programme is taught in English, the activities will also be conducted in English: this will give prospective students the chance to immediately test their language skills.
Global Politics and International Relations
(Cavalieri Room, 5:30–6:30 p.m.)
Professors Carpanelli, Castelli, Corigliano and Inglese will host a debate titled “Which Side Are You On? Current Issues in International Politics.”
The activity consists of a discussion on highly topical international themes, during which the lecturers will present some of the most widespread interpretative approaches in the field of international relations, with the aim of creating a stimulating environment capable of engaging future Master’s students.
